So I was tagged by Sarah to list 6 quirks. Only 6?!? Here goes:
1. I put dollar bills in my wallet in ascending numerical order, all facing in the same direction. If a clerk hands me bills in change all willy-nilly, I stand there and organize them until they're facing the correct way in the right order.
2. I cannot start watching a movie part of the way through. Has to be start to finish or nothing at all.
3. If I start a book, I have to finish it. Even if it stinks (like my choice for book club, "Love in the Time of Cholera").
4. When putting my groceries on the belt at the check-out line, I group them together by category: all of the frozen stuff together, produce, etc. My hope being that they'll bag it that way and it will be easier to put away when I get home. That or I have OCD.
5. Every piece of clothing and shoes in my closet are sorted by color.
6. Like Suzanne, I cannot stand to hear people chew, crunch or munch when they're eating. Study hall at the Chi-O house was a living hell for me between the ice crunching and chip munching. No wonder my grades were so poor my 1st semester (yeah, I'm sure that was it).
I tag Laura. You're it!

Two Mommies in The Big Apple
Had an absolute blast tagging along on Sarah's work trip to NYC! Man, I love her job! We were in the city Tuesday thru Friday. It was Sarah's first time to leave Blakeley and she was a champ. We fit in lots of shopping and eating and even saw The Little Mermaid on Broadway (followed by a yummy dinner and (most importantly) dessert at Serendipity - 2nd pic below). Sarah's work event included two suites at a Yankees/Red Sox game. Lucky me - I got to be her date! It was great to spend time with Sarah and have a mini-vacation. Thanks for taking me, Tank!

"Just Like Daddy"
I dropped Jack off at Lost Creek Country Club "Kids' Day Out" program so that I could run a few toddler-free errands. When I returned, I saw Jack across the room and immediately noticed that his chin was black. I thought, "Hmmm. Wonder what he jumped off of." When Jack finally saw me, he excitedly ran over and yelled,
Mommy, Mommy, Look! I have a beard - just like Daddy!!!Apparently, he decided to draw on himself rather than the paper provided during art time. He did draw a beard like Daddy. It was brown. And it was a little goatee, just like Mark grows on weekends and vacations! Hilarious. Daddy loved it.

Academy Award Nominee
So, Jack can be a tad dramatic at times, especially when brushing his teeth. To be more precise, the drama takes place when spitting after he's done. He spits the same way, each time. Makes me laugh outloud every day. Hopefully, this performance will bring a smile to your face too.

Jack's First Baseball Game!!

This weekend to help celebrate Landon's 6th Birthday we all went to Minute Maid Park and Jack attended his very first baseball game - - the Astros hosting the Chicago Cubs. He got to see several of his favorite players in person: "Berkman" "Hunter" and "Fukudome." And since both Jack and Daddy are fans of both teams it was only fitting we left in the 8th in a 1-1 tie (Hunter Pence won it for Houston in the 9th).

Fireman Jack

Jack had one of the best days ever today. The Westlake Fire Dept. brought a truck to the library this morning. The kids got Westlake Fire Dept. tattoos & stickers, got to climb in the firetruck and even try on the firemen's gear. The slideshow above shows all of the pics, but here's one of my favorites. Note how my 2 year old is holding an axe. Yup, those firemen are all about safety!
