It's a BOY! Introducing.....Will Brady

William (Will) Patrick Brady
10 - 1 - 2009
8 lbs. 6 oz.
20 In.
(Click on any picture for the full size version)
We've nicknamed him Chill Will because he is such a calm, quiet, sleepy baby (so far). He makes the sweetest little noises and is happy to nap in anyone's arms - not hard to find a ready set of arms around here!
Big Brother Jack holding baby Will for the 1st time. He's very proud of his little bro!

Rainy Day fun

Jack did not let the rain stop him from playing outside on Saturday (before the UT game). He was practically begging to go out in it and after catching a few drops in his hands from the porch, I gave him the green light to run out into it. Considering it was a total downpour at the time, it was basically walking into the shower. He loved it, running laps around the yard splashing in the puddles and mud.

Jack's 1st UT Football game

Saturday was "Gameday" for Jack - his very first Texas Football game with 101,000 other UT fans. To say he had fun would be a gross understatement. He soaked it all in, loving every minute of the game and making it all the way to the end (well past 10pm). In the past, at the spring game, he didn't like the loud canon, but last night he loved it. "Boom" Jack was treated to a 59-20 victory by the Horns, including an 80-yard pass from his idol Colt McCoy to #8 Jordan Shipley (his other favorite player). This kid definitely bleeds orange!

Determined to stay to the end of the game, Jack still had plenty of cheer left in him for the last "Texas Fight" of the night.

Back Nine

Sunday, Jack met up with Daddy on the 9th green to play the entire back 9 with him and Henry's dad, Matt (aka "Mr. Matt" our next door neighbor). He started out by hitting the green on his first shot on the 10th, then made a 10 on the Par 5 11th hole starting on the front tees (255 yards). That included getting up & down in 2 from the greenside bunker. Yes, he got out of the bunker with his 7-iron and 1-putted the green.

He had an absolute blast, usually playing from the 150-yd marker in. He learned some ettiquete as it's hard to stay still and quiet when you're nearly 4. After the 18th, he told us he beat us both and wanted to go to the range to hit more balls (we went home, old guys were tired).

So happy he loves golf.

"I'm excited about our baby......but I'm more excited about
Chuck E. Cheese!"

Camp GrandMary & GrandPat

Jack's cousins, Laurel and Landon, spent 6 days in Austin last week. GrandMary and GrandPat planned lots of fun activities for the kids. From swimming to Putt-Putt, all had an excellent time. We especially loved visiting family friend Gavin at his firehouse!

GrandMary ordered a cookie cake for the firemen. In red and orange icing it said, "Firemen are Hot!" While this mortified her son, the rest of us thought it was pretty funny.

A "Wicked" good time...

....was had by all on a recent couples night out. After dinner at Vivo, we headed to Bass Concert Hall to see the musical "Wicked". Thanks to our social coordinator, Laura, for organizing a fabulous evening!

Crispix

As Jack was eating breakfast this morning (1 bowl of Crispix + 1 bowl of Cheerios) he informed us with excitement as he read the box, "Did you know it's Crispy Rice on one side and Crunchy Corn on the other?!"
